My favorite for this month: Medora matte dark maroon 226
Winters always welcome the deep red and hot pinks lip colors to my vanity. The one of thousand things I hate about summers in Karachi that I need to think hundred times before applying lipsticks because in scorching heat the peach and little brown always suits well. But in winters I can play with various lip colors. Because the seasons cooler temperature always change my skin tone and makeup needs the darker tone of lipsticks give my face a refreshing look. Although we have a very short span of winters in Karachi but still I can have a different shade of lipstick whenever I go out for soup.
My all time favorite’s lipstick for fall is Medora matte dark maroon. Medora is my mom’s favorite brand that I adopted only because it smells best. Whenever I apply it it memorizing smell enter my nostrils and I goes in past when in my childhood io used to silently apply ami lipstick when she is busy in kitchen. Now also I use her shades but now with little attitude.
It’s my favorite because
This brand and shade stays longer I don’t need to reapply it for finished look .it stays same for hours.
The flow of color is rich .When it says dark maroon its real maroon with not at all black tone neither light as red.
I can always DIY it looks .likewise when I want slight lighter tone I gently press it off with tissue through this technique it stays for more longer period and the shade changes from dark maroon to soft maroon .
It not fade's neither smudge until I clean it with wipe or makeup remover.
From matt to gloss .I experiment Medora matt by applying clear gloss or pink gloss over it, gives glossy looks
Technique for applying Medora matt
Matte always goes little different ways from gloss I need to exfoliate my lips before applying matte otherwise it breaks and give untidy look the Medora matte need smooth canvas if your lips are cracked or have flakes so avoid using it because this one is not matte with gloss it applies different technique. What I do is that I quote my lips with little Vaseline very slightly touched otherwise lipstick will slide. wipe it with tissue and then apply my Medora matt 226 dark maroon
Shop It.
I bought it online from DARAZ at Rs 199 excluding delivery charges but the printed cost is 120. I will look if I can find somewhere cheap from Daraz. The pack has expiry date, breaking myth that cosmetics never expires.
